Jill Bess: Theatrical Director, was the Artistic Director for the Anchorage Community Theatre from 1999 to 2001 until resigning her position to devote her time more fully to the Broadway Kidz program.

Jill received a Bachelor’s degree in Drama from the University of California Irvine. She is well known as a director and teacher of Musical Theatre and Drama.

Jill is a wife, mother, actress, director, and award-winning playwright. Jill has been teaching children and adults drama and musical theatre for 22 years, including private classes, summer camps at Alaska Pacific University, Alaska Light Opera Theatre’s Artist’s in Residency program, and several Artist in Residency programs for the Anchorage School District.

Jill is well known for her award winning production "The Mommy Dance". Jill and her husband Joel Neimeyer, along with their kids Kevin and Katie, live in Anchorage.
